The prices in this website and our current wine list replace all previous lists. All prices are in UK pounds sterling, duty paid and delivered, and exclude VAT. All prices are per case of 12 bottles unless specified otherwise. We reserve the right to alter prices without notice. All wines are offered subject to availability and remain the property of Galitzine Wines until payment is received in full. VAT will be added to the invoice total. All samples over £6 per bottle (£72.00 per case of 12, duty paid and delivered, and excluding VAT) will be charged at 10% off list price.
Orders can be placed by e-mail, telephone, fax or by post to our Sales Office. We accept payment by cash, by cheque or major credit/debit cards. Cards are always debited in UK pounds sterling; there is a small surcharge to cover the processing costs.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing or you have an account with the company, all orders must be paid for before they are despatched from our premises. For account holders cheques should be payable to Galitzine Wines within 30 days of the purchase, addressed to Galitzine Wines Sales Office, 18 St Annes Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 8NL
We are not permitted to accept orders from customers who have not attained the age of 18.
For security reasons we advise our customers not to disclose credit card, bank or similar sensitive details by conventional e-mail. A secure credit card payment system will be available in the near future to provide you with safe and secure online credit card payment transactions.
Deliveries within the London postal district are free and will normally be made within three working days from receipt of the order/payment. Elsewhere within England, Wales and Scotland deliveries will normally be made within seven working days from receipt of the order/payment. Please contact us by phone to discuss a possibility of an express delivery or delivery on weekends and bank holidays. We advise you to allow at least 7 working days for delivery at busy times of the year such as Christmas.
We regret that it is not always possible for us to ship orders to overseas or offshore addresses. If you wish to place an order for delivery to such an address, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Please examine all goods on receipt and report any losses, faults or breakages by post, fax or e-mail to the carriers and Galitzine Wines Limited within three working days of delivery. In the event of breakages being discovered on delivery, you must retain the damaged goods in support of any claim.
We are happy to discuss any cancellations on an individual basis. We apologise that we cannot accept amendments or cancellations for orders of products, which we do not keep in stock and for which we have placed special orders with our suppliers, nor for products which we have agreed to supply to you on special request, i.e. not featured in main list or on our web site.
We do our best to offer an exceptional standard of personal customer service. If you have any query about our products or any aspect of our service, or In the event that you have cause for complaint about our service or any of our products please contact us via e-mail sales@galitzinewines.co.uk with subject 'Order query/complaint', leaving your name and a contact number. The directors will personally deal with any complaints regarding the quality of our service as soon as possible.
Our terms and conditions of trading do not affect your statutory rights. We are a limited UK company and any dispute or claims that arise must be made and settled under UK law.
We make every effort to ensure that the information on this web site is accurate and current, however Galitzine Wines provides the site and its contents on an 'as is' basis and we make no (and expressly disclaim all) representations or warranties of any kind with respect to this web site and its contents.
In the extremely unlikely event that a product you bought from us is faulty we will offer a replacement or credit, upon the return of the item in question, which we will arrange and pay for. We offer sale and return service subject to agreement with the management.
The goods sold shall remain our property and title shall not pass to you until payment in full has been made for all goods supplied, and pending sale you shall hold the goods as our fiduciary agent and bailer.
You may sell the goods in the ordinary course of business but have no authority to enter into any Contract of Sale on our behalf. No sale of goods shall be made to a Company which is your holding Company, or subsidiary Company, or of which it is an Associated Company as defined by the Companies Act 1985, (and as amended from time to time), without prior consent in writing.
If you are in default of payment of any sum howsoever due to us, then we may revoke your power of sale in respect of the goods, which power shall, in any event, automatically cease if an Administrative Receiver is appointed to your company, or it goes into liquidation, or calls a Meeting of Creditors, or makes any arrangement or composition with Creditors, or suffers a Bankruptcy or Interim Order to be made against you. Upon termination of your power of sale, all amounts payable in respect of goods supplied shall fall due for immediate payment, notwithstanding that any period of credit permitted by us may not have expired, and you shall immediately permit us to enter upon any premises upon which the goods are stored for the purpose of removing them.
Any payment you make for any goods which we shall supply shall, notwithstanding that you may have made any purported appropriation, be appointed first to goods which have at the date of our receipt of the payment been disposed of by you, and we shall further be and remain entitled to appropriate any balances, after such appropriation of received payments to such other of any goods supplied by us to you as we may, in our absolute discretion, decide.
