Intense and powerful aromas of gooseberry and passion fruit with a hint of nettle. The palate is full and rich with a silky and well balanced mineral acidity that gives the wine a long and flavoursome finish.
Grapes were sourced from a number of different vineyard sites in Marlborough, New Zealand. Although the growing season was cool to begin with, a long settled period leading up to vintage produced intensely flavoured fruit. The wine was pressed fermented in stainless tanks for three weeks at cool temperatures to promote maximum varietal character.
